8×B300 node rental: how to compare a complete quote

Compare scope, allocation, storage, networking and pilot acceptance before committing to a B300 node. Includes a worked cost formula, not a supplier price.

What does an eight-GPU quote actually include?

Ask for the exact server platform, GPU SKU, usable memory per device, CPU, system RAM, local disk, persistent storage and tenancy. NVIDIA documents eight B300 GPUs in its DGX B300 platform, but a cloud offer must identify its own complete system; the GPU name does not establish that it is a DGX or that every listed platform feature is included. [1]

When should you rent a whole node?

A dedicated node is a candidate when a measured training or inference workload needs that allocation, a topology requirement or stable dedicated capacity. First establish whether the software can use the GPUs effectively. A smaller pilot may answer memory-fit questions; an eight-GPU pilot is needed to validate the actual eight-GPU topology. Neither result establishes multi-node scaling.

Compare bills with the same denominator

If the quote is per GPU-hour, compute GPU count × hourly rate × billable hours. If it is per node-hour, multiply the node rate by node-hours only. For illustration, eight GPUs × A$4 × 100 hours equals A$3,200, the same compute subtotal as one node at A$32 per hour for 100 hours. These invented rates are arithmetic examples, not Arvica offers. Add storage, transfers, setup, minimum terms and applicable tax separately.

Interconnect, location and data are separate decisions

Record GPU-to-GPU topology inside the node and the network between nodes as separate fields. Specify the compute country, persistent-data country, backup location and access route. Ask what happens to disks and billing when compute stops. A customer in APAC does not imply that every available deployment is hosted in APAC.

Attach acceptance criteria to the pilot

Agree one model or job, software revision, representative input, memory ceiling, job completion or latency target, and a budget cap. Save raw results and configuration details. Decide whether to stop, adjust or reserve only after reviewing both quality and complete cost. The pilot scope and price must be accepted before activation; it is not a free-trial promise.

Send a brief that can become a proposal

Include GPU count, intended workload, start date, term, preferred country, storage, network and tenancy requirements. Mark unknown items as questions. Arvica can assess a B300 configuration or an alternative against the brief, then confirm provider, capacity and commercial terms in the proposal.
